Lesson 1 of 6 · What it looks like from the inside
The one sentence
Write it the way you would actually say it.
The move
Naming it as a state rather than a self
5 minutes or less
- Write down three things you have concluded about yourself in the last week.
- Beside each one, write when you first thought it. If the answer is since this started, mark it.
- The marked ones are symptoms reporting themselves as facts. That is what this illness does.
- You do not have to argue with them. Just stop treating them as evidence.
If it does not work
If everything on the list is marked, that is not a sign it is worse. It is a sign the state is doing all the talking, and that is exactly what the next lesson is for.
Write the one sentence
A specific plan works better than a good intention. Fill both halves in your own words.
