Lesson 3 of 6 · It is not weak faith
The one sentence
Write it the way you would say it out loud.
The move
Separating the illness from the verdict
5 minutes or less
- Write the sentence you have been carrying about what this means about your faith.
- Ask one question of it: would you say it to somebody else in your exact position?
- If you would not, then it is not a conclusion you reached by reasoning. It is the illness talking in the first person.
- Write underneath: this is a state, and states pass.
If it does not work
If somebody else has said it to you rather than you saying it to yourself, that is harder and it is not yours to fix today. Take it to somebody who knows both halves.
Write the one sentence
A specific plan works better than a good intention. Fill both halves in your own words.
When
I will
