Lesson 3 of 6 · The concession is a ruling, not a downgrade

  1. Write down what you have dropped and felt bad about.
  2. Beside it, write what the ruling actually is, as the lesson sets out.
  3. Notice the gap between the ruling and the guilt.
  4. The concession is a ruling and not a lower grade. You are not being marked.

If it does not work

If the guilt does not move when the ruling is clear, that is worth saying to somebody, because guilt that survives the ruling is usually about something else.
