So the gaps are real rather than imagined, and they are gaps in information, not in worth. That is oddly good news, because information can be taught outright. Ask a friend you trust to spell out the things nobody says aloud, like how quickly to answer a message, or how you can tell a conversation has finished.
Each community has its own direction to which it turns: race to do good deeds (Quran 2:148). Different starting points are taken for granted there, with the aim held in common.

A case series of five neurodivergent doctors documented people of clear intellectual capability who still met substantial barriers in ordinary clinical training environments. Five cases is a small descriptive study and settles nothing on its own. It does illustrate the mismatch this feeling comes from: real ability, and a setting whose unwritten rules were built around somebody else.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Social rules that most people absorb by watching can be learned explicitly instead.
Getting your ordinary life a bit calmer is worth doing for its own sake. More sleep, a little more structure, food that is not all improvised. Not perfect, just good enough to work with.
No food in the house means eating out late, which means a late night, which means a late start, which means no time to shop. It is not a character flaw. It is a loop.
When you are choosing where to start, take the easy one rather than the important one. Direction matters more than size at the beginning, because these things gather speed whichever way they are pointing.
