Treat the movement as part of the task rather than something virtuous you do separately. The lift is short lived, so it helps most sitting right before the work, not at seven that morning. Keep the bar on the floor: pacing the hallway, carrying the washing up two flights, three songs in the kitchen. If you hold out for a proper workout you will usually do nothing at all.
Do not rush to recite before the revelation is fully complete, but say, Lord, increase me in knowledge (Quran 20:114). There is room to ready yourself before you begin, and that readying is not time stolen from the work.

The evidence gathered here is not about whether five minutes of walking sharpens focus in the next hour. It is about getting movement to happen at all: a meta-analysis found that habit formation programmes increase how automatic physical activity comes to feel, and identified which parts of those programmes drive the change. So test the immediate lift on yourself and take the habit research as the reason to hang the movement on a fixed cue rather than on a decision.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Moving raises the brain chemicals that attention runs on, so the task meets a slightly readier mind.
If you have a heart or joint problem, or exercise has become a way of punishing yourself, get the plan looked at by someone who knows your history first.
Ask what is working and what is not, rather than whether you did well or badly. The first question you can answer honestly. The second one you will lie to yourself about.
Writing the list is the easy half. If twelve things are down on paper and you still cannot move, the missing skill is choosing, not capturing.
A young person hears the fear in a house even when nobody says anything. If the adults are frightened about their future, they usually take that fear as a verdict on themselves.
