The reasoning is the same as a fidget toy or a standing desk. A little constant demand can keep an under-occupied system in the room instead of drifting out of it. If it suits your life, try it and notice honestly whether anything changed. If the gears are eating attention you needed for the road, that is your answer too.

'These are confusing dreams and we are not skilled at dream-interpretation' (Quran 12:44). Saying plainly that something sits outside what you know is better than dressing a hunch up as knowledge.

A clinical review of twenty years of ADHD research separates what the field has established from what it has not, and a question like this sits firmly in the second group. Nothing in this evidence set has compared cars or gearboxes. So the idea is worth trying on its own modest terms, carrying none of the weight that the treatment evidence carries.

Never let an idea like this stand in for taking your medication before you drive.
