The value of this is partly practical and partly in not being stuck. Being told no at a counter, month after month, is what makes people quietly abandon a treatment that was working for them. Doing one small specific thing keeps you inside the process rather than outside it. Ask your prescriber whether there is an equivalent route where you live, since the address differs by country.

God 'will provide for them from an unexpected source' (Quran 65:3). Doing the small thing that is available to you and leaving the supply to God is not passivity.

A systematic review of economic evaluations found ADHD medicines generally came out as cost-effective, though the modelling assumptions varied widely between studies. Health systems have judged this treatment worth paying for, which is worth holding onto when a counter tells you it is unavailable. It is an argument about value rather than evidence that reporting a shortage works.
