It is worth being clear about this, because the wrong reading sends people looking for a movement class that teaches numbers. What actually changed is the ability to sit with a page for ten minutes without drifting. That improvement will show up across several subjects at once, which is the tell. Expect it in whatever is being tested against the clock.
It is not people's eyes that are blind, but their hearts within their breasts (Quran 22:46). What looks obvious on the surface is not always where the real change sits.

A study of university students found the link between exercise and wellbeing ran partly through body image and self esteem rather than through fitness, which is the same kind of finding: the visible result arrived by a different route than you would guess. It was cross sectional, so the route it describes is a plausible one rather than a proven chain. Either way, the lesson is to ask what a measure is actually picking up.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
A test score measures whatever the test demands, and most timed tests demand sustained attention before anything else.
Long goals need markers you can reach this month. Belts work because you get a visible, earned step every so often instead of one distant summit.
If talking about it has not shifted things, a body based practice is worth trying next. It is not a consolation prize.
Before you decide a club is out of reach, ask. Some let children earn the uniform through the levels, and plenty have quiet arrangements for families who need them.
