Think of it as one more layer to lift off rather than the thing underneath. Specialist labs can measure levels if it seems worth checking, and correcting a genuine shortfall removes an amplifier. What you are left looking at afterwards is the actual difficulty, which makes every decision after that clearer.

An observational study found that children with lower omega-3 in cheek cell samples showed poorer learning and behaviour. Being observational, it cannot say which way the arrow runs, and children who eat differently differ in other ways too. So it is a reason to consider levels, not grounds for assuming they explain what you are seeing.

Take away something that is amplifying a difficulty and you can finally see its real size.
Brain training games make you better at the game. Sadly, that improvement tends to stay inside the game.
A weighted vest seems to do its work in roughly the first quarter of an hour. Twenty minutes did not beat fifteen, so longer is not more help.
If fish oil gives you those horrible repeats all afternoon, that is a fixable problem rather than a reason to stop. Keep the capsules in the freezer, ask about an enteric coated version, or try a flavoured liquid.
