Bodies differ in how fast they break a medicine down. Give two people the same dose and one of them may be holding far more of it for far longer, which is why an unremarkable amount on paper can land like a large one. Said out loud, a complaint that often gets quietly dismissed becomes something a prescriber can test and adjust, usually by starting lower and moving slower.
God does not burden any soul with more than He has given it (Quran 65:7). What one person can carry is not the measure of what another can.
الطلاق
لِيُنفِقۡ ذُو سَعَةࣲ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦۖ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقُهُۥ فَلۡيُنفِقۡ مِمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُۚ لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا مَآ ءَاتَىٰهَاۚ سَيَجۡعَلُ ٱللَّهُ بَعۡدَ عُسۡرࣲ يُسۡرࣰ ا

Pooled evidence in this field describes averages, and averages hide a great deal. Across 419 randomised trials, psychological interventions produced small but real improvements in wellbeing, with the size of the effect varying by the type of intervention and the population studied. Variation between people is the ordinary finding rather than the exception, which is one reason to take a person's account of their own response seriously.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
The same dose does not mean the same amount inside two different people.
Depression is not one thing with one address. Fatigue, blank concentration, lost libido and the loss of pleasure do not all come from the same place, so it helps to name which one you most want moved.
A medicine that lifts drive is not the same as one that settles anxiety, and for some people the energising kind makes the worry louder.
A newer version of a familiar medicine is usually a tidier version rather than a leap, and tidier is still worth something.
