Waiting to feel sure is what keeps people circling for months, because certainty about a genuinely close call is not coming. Most real decisions get made at about this margin, quietly, and people build a life on them. Take the option that is a fraction ahead, tell someone you have chosen, and let the rest of the doubt come along with you rather than waiting for it to leave.
When you have decided on a course of action, put your trust in God (Quran 3:159). Deciding is treated as a moment you pass through, not a feeling you wait for.
آل عمران
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
By an act of mercy from God, you [Prophet] were gentle in your dealings with them- had you been harsh, or hard-hearted, they would have dispersed and left you- so pardon them and ask forgiveness for them. Consult with them about matters, then, when you have decided on a course of action, put your trust in God: God loves those who put their trust in Him

A meta-analysis of perfectionism separated high standards from anxious concern about getting it wrong, and found it is the anxious concern rather than the standards that tracks with psychological difficulty. Needing to feel certain before acting belongs to that anxious side. The evidence links the two rather than showing that lowering the threshold helps.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
If both options are close, the cost of choosing wrongly is small and the cost of not choosing keeps adding up.
If the same three names keep coming up, compare those three and stop looking. Twenty options will not give you a better answer, only a later one.
Working towards something you want will carry you further than working away from something you dread. Before you start, name in your own words what the finished thing gets you.
A task you dislike needs a time and a place, not a place on the list. Tuesday at ten, at the kitchen table, is a plan. Soon is not.
