When your results are acceptable, nobody asks what they cost you, and you may have stopped asking too. Worth checking honestly: how much of the week goes on catching up, and how often does the work only happen because it has become nearly too late? Structure changes those things even when your output is already good enough.
God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear (Quran 2:286). Carrying more than you need to is not a virtue, and there is no extra credit in it.

God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad- ‘ Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make mistakes. Lord, do not burden us as You burdened those before us. Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.’

A review of the circadian system in ADHD reports that delayed sleep phase disorder is present in 73 to 78 percent of children and adults with the condition, and argues that body clock disruption belongs in the main picture rather than at its margins. Coping by working later and later is not a free strategy. It is a narrative review, so it argues a case from existing evidence rather than testing one.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
What structure buys you often shows up as less strain rather than as better results.
Move things off the to do list and into the week itself. Not write the report, but Wednesday at one, ninety minutes, write the report.
Once tasks sit in the week rather than on a list, you can see that Thursday has no room left. Saying no gets much easier when the crowding is in front of your eyes instead of somewhere in your head.
You do not have to use it perfectly for it to help. Using it half the time makes your week roughly half better, and that is a real gain rather than a consolation prize.
