Fit does more work here than effort does. The person who cannot survive a rigid nine to five in an open plan office may be excellent somewhere with variety, movement and short deadlines. Before going, be honest about which parts are genuinely wrong for you and which ones would follow you anywhere. And if you do go, say plainly that you are choosing something that suits you better, because the story you tell about it will stay with you far longer than the decision.
When the prayer has ended, disperse in the land and seek out God's bounty (Quran 62:10). Going elsewhere to look for your provision is treated as ordinary, not as running away.

A review reports that delayed sleep phase disorder is present in 73 to 78 percent of children and adults with ADHD, and argues that a shifted body clock is central to the condition rather than incidental to it. If your clock really does run late, an early start is a poor fit rather than a discipline problem. That figure comes from review level evidence and the studies behind it vary, so hold the exact number loosely.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Changing the setting to suit you is usually easier than changing yourself to suit the setting.
Deciding this in the middle of a terrible week is different from deciding it after thinking it through, so make the call when things are calm and with someone who knows you well.
A small job due tomorrow feels heavier than a big one due next week. Everyone works this way. It is simply stronger with ADHD, and it quietly wrecks any list ordered by importance.
A child who is blind to time is not ignoring the deadline. They are living in whatever is happening right now, with no sense that the bell is close or that Friday's test has anything to do with today.
A clock with hands shows you how much is left. A number only tells you where you are, which is why the hour can vanish while you keep checking it.
