Prefer something made by a university or a public body over whatever a search puts at the top, since much of what is written about these drugs is selling in one direction or the other. A good animation is also usable with a patient, or with a teenager who wants to know what they are taking. Watch it once before you need it rather than in the middle of a difficult conversation.
This explains how treatments work. Never start, stop or change a medication because of something you read here.
'if a troublemaker brings you news, check it first' (Quran 49:6). Checking where something came from is ordinary care rather than suspicion.

The caution about online material is not abstract. A critical review of brief adult ADHD screening tools found they generate many false positives, so a positive screen should lead to a fuller assessment rather than to a prescription. Those tools sit all over the internet and are often read as answers. Sources differ enormously in what they were made for, which is worth checking before trusting one.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Something you have watched move is easier to hold in mind than the same thing described in words.
Conversations about alcohol and cannabis tend to be timed for the child you expect to have at fourteen. With an attention difficulty in the picture, start them earlier and keep them light.
Some long acting tablets are small machines. The coating gives you the first part within about half an hour, then fluid seeps in through a laser drilled hole and pushes the rest out steadily across eight to ten hours.
The medicine can help you focus. It will not make you want to study. Those are two different jobs and only one of them comes in a tablet.
