That has been good for access, and it puts a lot of weight on a very short conversation. Go in with the specifics written down: which symptoms, since when, what has already been tried, what you cannot live with. If you are the therapist, that same information sent ahead is often the most useful thing you do that week.
The Qur'an points at what comes from bees, 'in which there is healing for people' (Quran 16:69). Ordinary remedies in ordinary places are given their due.
النحل
ثُمَّ كُلِي مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ فَٱسۡلُكِي سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلࣰ اۚ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بُطُونِهَا شَرَابࣱ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَٰنُهُۥ فِيهِ شِفَآءࣱ لِّلنَّاسِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةࣰ لِّقَوۡمࣲ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Across 12 randomised trials, internet delivered cognitive behavioural therapy produced moderate to large improvements in depression and anxiety symptoms, and supported programmes did better than ones people worked through alone. That is about a different delivery route rather than about prescribing. The recurring lesson is the same: moving treatment out of specialist settings works, and it works better when somebody is alongside it.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Care delivered close to home reaches far more people, so long as the short appointment carries the right information.
Whether a medicine works can turn on something as ordinary as taking it with food or moving it to bedtime.
When something has helped a little and then stalled, adding a different kind of help often does more than pushing harder on the first one.
If a treatment reliably produces strange sensations, describe them beforehand. Expected strangeness is far easier to sit through than strangeness that arrives unannounced.
