These gaps hide well, because they embarrass people in a way that larger problems somehow do not. Someone can talk fluently about difficult ideas and still have no idea what their tax code means. If you are helping, ask plainly and without a face: I never learned this properly either, shall we do it together once. If it is you, pick one thing this month and learn it end to end rather than half guessing it again.
Help one another to do what is right and good (Quran 5:2). Being shown how something is done is included in that, not beneath it.
المائدة
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُحِلُّواْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهۡرَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلۡهَدۡيَ وَلَا ٱلۡقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلࣰ ا مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَرِضۡوَٰنࣰ اۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلۡتُمۡ فَٱصۡطَادُواْۚ وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوۡمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ أَن تَعۡتَدُواْۘ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
so, you who believe, do not violate the sanctity of God’s rites, the Sacred Month, the offerings, their garlands, nor those going to the Sacred House to seek the bounty and pleasure of their Lord––but when you have completed the rites of pilgrimage you may hunt. Do not let your hatred for the people who barred you from the Sacred Mosque induce you to break the law: help one another to do what is right and good; do not help one another towards sin and hostility. Be mindful of God, for His punishment is severe

A cognitive behavioural account of adult ADHD argues that years of accumulated failure, criticism and underachievement sit on top of the attention difficulties themselves and shape what therapy has to deal with. It is a clinical argument rather than a trial, so treat it as a way of understanding rather than as evidence for a technique. It does explain why an ordinary practical gap can feel unaskable, and why asking gently matters more than asking efficiently.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
A missing instruction stays missing until somebody says it out loud, because the shame keeps the question in.
Print the agreement out and stick it up where the child will see it. In a drawer it may as well not exist.
A healthy list loses items as well as gaining them. Some leave because they are done and some because they did not survive the week. Both are normal.
Pick one aim big enough to hold the year, and let it be the thing you measure choices against. Not a list of values. One.
