That is a reward you can feel this evening rather than a virtue somebody tells you about. Half an hour on Monday and the rest of the night is yours. Leave it to Thursday and Thursday owns you. Put it to yourself in those terms, because tonight is one of the few timescales that reliably moves anybody.
God achieves His purpose; God has set a due measure for everything (Quran 65:3). You are not required to finish the whole of it tonight for tonight to count.

A meta-analysis of children and adolescents with ADHD found a measurable preference for the immediate reward over the larger delayed one, treated as separate from acting without thinking. That is a reason to keep a reward close to the action. The work was in young people and describes group patterns rather than individuals.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
A payoff you get tonight pulls harder than one arriving at the end of the week.
Do not save the treat for when the whole thing is finished. Put something small right after the awkward step: a coffee on the way back from the shop, a sit down once the taping is done.
Try giving the two of you names. Monday you keeps leaving messes for Thursday you, and Thursday you is getting fed up about it. Say it out loud and let it be a bit ridiculous.
