Early or repeated harm can teach a person that the world is dangerous and they are on their own. That inner belief is not permanent; steady, safe connection can gradually rewrite it.
God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity; You are our Protector, so help us (Quran 2:286). You were never meant to carry it unprotected or alone.
البقرة
لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتۡ وَعَلَيۡهَا مَا ٱكۡتَسَبَتۡۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوۡ أَخۡطَأۡنَاۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحۡمِلۡ عَلَيۡنَآ إِصۡرࣰ ا كَمَا حَمَلۡتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِنَاۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلۡنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦۖ وَٱعۡفُ عَنَّا وَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَآۚ أَنتَ مَوۡلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad- ‘ Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make mistakes. Lord, do not burden us as You burdened those before us. Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.’

Attachment theory describes internal working models, deep expectations about whether help will come and whether we are worthy of it, formed through early care. Harm can set these to danger and aloneness, but they are not fixed; consistent, responsive relationships in the present can slowly teach the nervous system that support is available and that you are worth it.

Perceived social support buffers individuals against the harmful impact of stressful life events.
Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Repeated experiences of reliable, responsive support update the inner expectation from the world is dangerous toward comfort is near.
Where this sits: Attachment theory: internal working models, rebuilt through safe bonds.
What happened to you is not who you are. Speak to yourself as you would to someone you love who was hurt.
Healing is not pretending it never happened. It is letting it become part of a life that still grows.
When trauma tells you that you are utterly alone and beyond help, treat that as the wound talking, not the truth. Do not despair.
