Lesson 6 of 6 · When it is anxiety, and where to go
If one thing stays with you
Let it be this.
Putting it off is not a verdict on your character. It is a way of getting rid of a bad feeling now, and it works, which is exactly why it is so hard to stop. The tradition asks you to tie the camel and then rely, in that order, so your revision is inside the decree rather than in competition with it. And the way through a task you cannot face is not a better plan. It is a smaller first step attached to a moment you already have.
Two minutes counts. So does going back to the same sentence on Thursday after a lost Wednesday.
Qur’an and Sunnah
Tie the camel and then rely, in that order, so your revision is inside the decree rather than in competition with it.
Anas bin Malik narrated that a man said:"O Messenger of Allah! Shall I tie it and rely(upon Allah), or leave it loose and rely(upon Allah)?" He said: "Tie it and rely(upon Allah)." Other chains report similar narrations

Two minutes counts, and what is asked for is the deed you can do easily rather than the one you meant.
Narrated `Aisha:The Prophet (ﷺ) never fasted in any month more than in the month of Sha'ban. He used to say, "Do those deeds which you can do easily, as Allah will not get tired (of giving rewards) till you get bored and tired (of performing religious deeds)." The most beloved prayer to the Prophet (ﷺ) was the one that was done regularly (throughout the life) even if it were little. And whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) offered a prayer he used to offer it regularly
