The one sentence
Telling one person. Not a conversation you have to prepare for.
The move
Removing one thing that is adding to it

- Pick one: going over the last days, avoiding a place entirely, keeping everybody at arm's length, or somebody who keeps telling you how to grieve.
- For the replaying, notice it and get up and change rooms. It is not respect and it is not remembering.
- For the person, you do not have to correct them. You can just see them less for a while.
- One at a time.
If it does not work
Avoiding a place is worth going gently on. If you are not ready, drive past it rather than going in, and let that count.
