Lesson 4 of 6 · The tradition never asked you to choose

The one sentence

Nothing here asks you to give anything up. Notice that the plan adds and does not subtract.

The move

Doing both, in the right order

10 minutes or less

  1. Decide to do both rather than choosing one and waiting.
  2. Book the medical assessment this week. That is the one with a waiting list.
  3. Continue whatever religious practice you were doing. Nothing here asks you to stop.
  4. Tell the clinician what you think it is. A good one will ask rather than argue.

If it does not work

If you are worried a doctor will dismiss the religious account, you do not have to lead with it. Describe what happens, and see what they say.

Write the one sentence

A specific plan works better than a good intention. Fill both halves in your own words.
