Where the choice came from

Somewhere along the way this turned into a fork. Ruqyah or medicine. Trust in Allah or a prescription. Pick one, and the pick says something about your faith.

That fork is not in the texts. It is worth saying flatly, because a lot of people have made a hard decision on the strength of it, and some of them are still paying for that decision.

What is in the texts is the opposite, and it is not subtle. It is a command.
