The one sentence

Telling one person is usually what turns a decision into a date.

The move

Setting a date rather than waiting

5 minutes or less

Write today's date and the date one month from now.
Write what you will have tried by then.
If it is no better by that date, the next step is medical, whatever else you also do.
A longer time without treatment predicts a worse outcome. Waiting is itself a decision, and this makes it a decision with a date on it.

If it does not work

If a month feels too soon, make it two. What matters is that there is a date rather than an open ended wait that quietly becomes a year.

A specific plan works better than a good intention. Fill both halves in your own words.
