Say this out loud to the people who need to know, because the good days get held against you later, by them and by you. Plan around your average rather than your best day, and keep a smaller fallback version of any routine for the days it will not run. Noticing what usually helps is still worth doing, but not every bad day has a trigger waiting to be found.
God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear (Quran 2:286). What is asked of you is measured against what you actually have today, not against your best day.

God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear: each gains whatever good it has done, and suffers its bad- ‘ Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make mistakes. Lord, do not burden us as You burdened those before us. Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelievers.’

A review of the cognitive neuroscience of ADHD is candid that the science has translated into diagnosis and treatment far less than people tend to assume. Which is another way of saying there is no test that will tell you why today went badly. Understanding the mechanism in general does not yet give anyone a daily prediction.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
The systems that hold attention steady run unevenly, so what you produce varies even when the effort you put in does not.
Keep two or three trustworthy places to read about ADHD and go there first. Confident, tidy explanations online are easy to find, and most of them have nobody checking them.
With children, practise the hard social moment rather than explaining it. Act out asking to join a game, or losing one, a few times at home where nothing is at stake.
Not knowing a child's family history is not evidence against ADHD. Where a child is adopted, a blank family history should keep the question open rather than close it.
