Those things need treatment of their own, and they are often what the family actually came about. Treating the attention difficulty well can stop some of them ever developing, and once they are established they have to be addressed directly. When a medicine is clearly working and life is still hard, this is usually the explanation rather than a dose that needs raising.
This explains how treatments work. Never start, stop or change a medication because of something you read here.
Job said, 'Suffering has truly afflicted me' (Quran 21:83), naming the thing itself rather than a version of it. Each difficulty is worth naming separately, because each one needs its own answer.

There is one instructive exception. In a randomised double-blind trial of children who had ADHD alongside an anxiety disorder, atomoxetine improved both the ADHD and the anxiety symptoms compared with placebo. So the boundary is not absolute and it depends on which medicine and which condition. As a general rule the accompanying difficulties still need their own treatment.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
A treatment reaches what it acts on and leaves the rest where it was.
For someone who cannot swallow tablets, or whose mornings fall apart long before the tablet gets taken, patches exist that release medicine slowly through the skin over hours.
Two products can hold the identical molecule and still behave differently in a person, because the difference lives in how fast the drug is released. A change of formulation is a real change, and it is a different thing from a change of drug.
A rash from the patch does not put the same medicine out of reach in tablet form. Plenty of people react to it on the skin and take it by mouth with no trouble at all.
