So do the snag hunting before you sit down rather than during. Have the login to hand, the papers in one place, the next step written in words a tired person could follow. It feels like faffing about instead of working, and it is the difference between an hour that holds and an hour that quietly leaks away.
enter your houses by their main doors (Quran 2:189). A path in that works plainly, without a climb round the back, is worth setting up before you need it.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
A task only has to become annoying for a second for you to leave it, so the fewer of those seconds there are the longer you stay.
Do not leave it to eleven at night to decide whether to close the tab. Set the block in the afternoon, while you are still the version of yourself who wants it set.
Pick the place that will actually hold the person, not the one with the better name on the letterhead. Three years somewhere that fits beats one term somewhere that does not.
For the item that never gets done, make an actual decision: cross it off, or find a way to genuinely want it. Leaving it sitting there is the only option that costs you every single day.
