Lesson 6 of 6 · When to stop reading and see someone

If one thing stays with you

Let it be this.

The loudness of the feeling is not evidence about the size of the danger. Worry is a behaviour and not a personality, which means it is something you do rather than something you are. And none of it is a verdict on your faith, because the Qur'an describes the Companions in open fear and does not scold them for it.

The ease is not somewhere else, waiting for you to earn it. The Qur'an says it comes with the hardship.

Qur’an and Sunnah

The ease is not somewhere else waiting for you to earn it. The Qur'an puts it with the hardship rather than after it.

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا

So truly where there is hardship there is also ease

Qur’an 94:5

The same sentence occurs twice, and this is the second time. The repetition is in the text, which is why it is shown twice rather than once.

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرࣰ ا

truly where there is hardship there is also ease

Qur’an 94:6
